Insulation Installer Training

Description

This training provides skills and knowledge required for safe and compliant residential Insulation Installation In residential insulation retrofitting. Learners are trained in project planning, site preparation, product handling, and correct installation methods for various insulation types. The course also covers essential topics including: • Compliance with health and safety regulations • Safe work practices, including working at heights. • Risk identification and hazard management in ceiling spaces. • Effective communication and job documentation

This program covers the training requirements to be a EEC certified Insulation Installer which includes four accredited and One non-Accredited unit. In order to be EEC certified Insulation Installer you must also hold Construction Induction certificate and other entry requirements of EECs as stated on their website https://eeccertified.org.au/certified-insulation-installer/ . UNITS OF COMPETENCY Accredited Units • CPCCWHS2001 – Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry; • CPCCOM1015 – Carry out measurements and calculations; • CPCCCM2012 – Work safely at heights; • CPCCPB3014 – Install bulk insulation and pliable membrane products; Non Accredited Unit • EEC001 – Prepare for insulation retrofitting within ceiling spaces

Entry Requirements
  • Physical fitness to access and move within ceiling space, lift and carry;
  • Be 18 years of age or above; and
  • Literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to ACSF level 2.
  • Though it is not a pre-requisite but it is recommended to have Construction Induction Certificate known as White Card in some states.
